KotB_RubyJoy_GNC's Scoop
About me:
NC COVEN RULES: Any issues must be first addressed by immediate Clan Leaders, then to the Coven Leaders if deemed necessary. Anyone not following this chain of command will be referred back to the Clan Leader. The Nosferatu Coven are a Combat Role Playing Family and as such have rules and guidelines for all members to abide by. The first rule is REAL LIFE FIRST! The rules are in 2 parts; Coven rules and Role Playing Guidelines. The Coven rules refer to joining the family, tagging and such where as the role playing guidelines are about how we play within the family. Please note these are separate to KS rules and these guidelines are for within family only. Each clan has a Chosen Son and/or a Chosen Daughter who will receive leadership training and will assist in leading their Clan as and when necessary. Only Kings/Queens and higher can sire and pass on the Nosferatu Bloodline. Kings/Queens and above are responsible for tagging new members. Once a potential member has been introduced to the family, they will then wait a minimum of 3 days before they are offered a place in the family. During that time, they will be referred to an Envoy who will share family information. The Envoys works for the whole family not for a particular clan. Potential slaves must additionally be interviewed by a Slave Trainer who will make sure they are entering the family at the correct level (submissive or slave) and that they understand the training they will be required to follow (see Slave Guidelines for further details). New members will be tagged as Sir or Lady (or sub/slave) and tagged in any clan. If a new member is unsure on a clan, they may be offered the NC tag. They will complete a 2 week trial during which time they will get to know everyone and be able to choose a different clan if they wish. On siring they will become Baron/Baroness. Sometimes new members may be sired straight to a higher role such as IG or KotB if they have shown an aptitude in this area and have had approved trained for it. Clan Leaders MUST inform Coven Leaders of new recruits (and in particular Elder_Kika_GNC) and to introduce new recruits to family chat in world, via the profile e-mail and/or on Skype. No double tags. If a person wishes to marry, they must seek the Coven Leaders permission and there must be a minimum of one month engagement before a wedding takes place. If a person marries within the Coven, they may take either tag; if a person marries from outside of the Coven they may keep their Nosferatu tag. The Coven leaders will not sanction a request if such a marriage would conflict with the Nosferatu life and values. All Members are asked to log into the family channel in world (this is regularly changed) which is meant as a place to share news and updates. All Members are asked to add the X__Nosferatu__X (http://www.redlightcenter.com/net/profile/view_profile.aspx?MemberID=100956603) profile to their friend to receive bulletins with invites to our ceremonies, changes in guidelines and other announcements. Clan Leaders Meeting will be held on alternative Sundays at 1pm EST. If a Clan Leader cannot attend they may send a representative. NO PETS or SLAVES. The General Coven Meetings are Private and to be attended by members and slaves ONLY. Sired members are the only ones with the right to vote. These are held when deemed appropriate by the Coven Leaders however Clans are expected to hold their own regular meetings and pass on concerns at the Clan Leader meetings. Clan members may take on other work within RLC such as dancing, DJing or as WGs however they may not double tag. Members must make sure their Clan Leaders are aware of other commitments. Where possible members should still endeavour to attend family events. When a member leaves the family, it is done politely, with grace and dignity. Coven Leaders must be informed. Please read the Role Playing Guidelines for more information on this. All members are expected to act respectfully and with dignity. To this end we ask that members avoid making negative bulletins at all costs. Do not respond to bulletins about our families without Leaders ' permission. This Coven WILL NOT stoop to the level some do. If a member wishes to switch clans, they may apply to their Clan Leader who will seek approval from the Coven Leaders. Members will only be granted this once. However, if a new clan is formed, members will be permitted to apply to change clans. Slaves may be recruited to any clan and will have a 2 week trial as either A slave or a sub must be tag with the slave or sub title in small caps letters; for example: slv_name_NC or sub_name_NC. If in doubt, please contact a Coven Leader for guidance on this matter. After training , a slave may be collared and become a personal pet or remain as a slave. Slaves may progress to Alpha Slave. There is a Nosferatu_slaves (http://www.utherverse.com/Nosferatu_slaves) profile which gives more rules and guidelines regarding slaves. All Members are asked to add the , X__Nosferatu__X's , profile to their friends’ http://www.utherverse.com/net/profile/view_profile.aspx?MemberID=100956603 to receive bulletins with invites to our ceremonies, changes in guidelines and other announcements. No , one in any Clan , will not have anyone in any Clan on there , Ignores / Iggy - list -- NEVER ... if you do , The NC Leaders will find out , and will very unhappy with you .. Complaints against Coven/Clan members may be brought to the attention of their Clan Leader ANY complaints MUST and are REQUIRED to be backed up by a Screen Shot. Heresay, i.e. he said she said is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Who I'd like to meet:
SLAVE/SUB/PET RULES: Slave Rules and Training There is two types of slaves in this family. There is the slaves that give them selves to serve the coven and or there clan and the subs who give them selves to there master or mistress. For the purpose of this guide i will just use the term slave. As we are a role playing Vampire family the need for slaves is vital. They serve many purposes such as food, companions and sex partners. There is 2 parts to the training of slaves in this family the white pure level and the red advanced level. WHite Level: The slaves will wear white in this level so all will know they are in the begining of there training. This is the basic level to train the slaves in how to greet, in what arder they are to greet and who they are to kneel to. In the white level slaves will greet each member in the room or chat by rank starting with the elders down to fellow slaves in the following order. The order of greetings is as follows: ~see Ranking by Authority Listing~ To show respect slaves will kneel to the Elders only and subs will kneel to the Elders and there Master or Mistress. This needs to be done only once per seeing them in one day. Slaves will also reform simple taks to show how they follow instructions. Also they will creat one blog and title it restrictions. this is to list any restrictions such as no gay sex or any preferances such as that they perfer to be humiliated. Once they have this down and ready to move up to the next level then they will meet with a KotB for instructions on role play. Red Level: Slaves in this level will wear ted to show they are in advanced Training. This level is more on role playing in the family such as in feedings and companionship. Slaves will also show there creativity in how they move and in doing various activities. This level the greetings will be easier as will not be required to greet everyone in chat or a room. If they see someone ghosting for example then the ydo not need to greet. If in chat then only need to greet those they see actively chatting and if they see someone entering chat. Slaves in this level will do some serving at events or gatherings. THis is also done to increase there role play and allow others to role pay with them. Slaves will also help with greeting guests just as we all do try to greet new guests. Once a slave graduates out of training they will not be required to serve and can be done on a volentary bases for possible tips. When a slave completes there training then they can dress in any color and style. They also can be collored to a master or mistress if both agree. Slaves that show excelant abilities and show good examples may be given title of a Alpha Slave (Aslv).

Role Playing Glossary AFK: Abbreviation for "Away From Keyboard." Attributes: describe a natural, in-born characteristics shared by all characters, such as physical strength or wisdom Autoing: A form of godmoding. The act of making decisions and/or actions for the target of your role-play. Acts such as this are highly dishonorable and possibly the worst form of godmodding that can be acted upon Blending/Crossing : (IC/OOC Confusion): Where player mixes or "blends" realities between their character and themselves, or uses OOC knowledge that wouldn't otherwise be known to their character either in active RP or in SLs. BRB: Abbreviation for "Be Right Back." DM (Dungeon Master): In many Role Playing games there is a referee or judge who defines the fantasy world and plays its NPCs. This is usually true in any plot driven role playing games. Also called a GM for "Game Master." Free Form Role-playing: Role-playing where complete freedom is given to the players to control their own characters within the setting of the room. Free form role playing tends to be more character driven than plot driven and the need for a DM is less. Godmoding: This is a term used to describe two poor behaviors of players. Godmoding is almost always frowned upon by other members of the game, because it is regarded as a form of cheating against the game's tacit rules. Passive godmodding: Godmoding can occur when a character describes an event or a series of events he or she has taken against another character or interactive object, most often with the purpose of rescinding negative effects previously encountered or granting some other effect inconsistent with an innocent view of the narrative. Godmoding is thus often used like a "Get Out of Jail Free card" when things don't go the way a player wants, rather than working with previously unfolded events. It is also used to describe the act of creating or playing with an invincible character or unbreakable armor, limitless power, etc. Some players will create a brand new character, and that character is automatically gifted with skills, and nearly impossible to take on right from the start. This happens when a newer character goes against an established one, and the newer character god-modes themselves as if they've been around the same length of time. Active Godmoding: Godmoding can also refer to the case where a player definitively describes the outcome of their own actions against another character or interactive object. For example, if player A states, "A strikes B and B takes damage", they could be considered to be godmoding. Another example of this might be where a character is facing multiple enemies, and they redirect one foe's attack onto another. For example, Player A states, "B misses A completely, and strikes C instead." IC (In Character): Anything that pertains to your character; their thoughts, actions, dialogue, etc. The part of role-playing that maintains the illusion of the fictional reality where your character dwells. Lurk: This is slang for when a player is in a chat room but not playing. Many experienced gamers will lurk in a room for a few minutes to get a feel for what's happening before they role-play their character's entrance. Metagaming: This is the use of out-of-character knowledge in an in-character situation. A character played by a metagamer does not act in a way that reflects the character's in-game experiences and back-story.. Examples of metagaming include: * Adjusting a character's actions if the player has some foreknowledge of the long-term intentions of the outcome. * Using certain types of attack or defense based on the strengths and weaknesses of a monster/other characters the character knows nothing of, for example a weakness to fire-based magic. * Acting on technical and/or scientific knowledge that the character is not or could not be aware of (such as creating gunpowder in a dark ages or middle ages setting). * Adjusting a character's behavior towards other player characters based on real-life relationships with other players. * Using knowledge of the game's mechanics to gain an advantage in the game. * Deciding on a character's course of action based on how the game's mechanics will affect the outcome. * Any action that is based upon the knowledge that one is playing a game. * Another form of metagaming occurs as a form of powergaming during character creation, when a player takes flaws or liabilities that they know is unlikely to fully exploit, thereby acquiring extra creation options without paying a corresponding penalty. Traditionally, metagaming is generally frowned upon in role-playing communities, as it upsets the suspension of disbelief and affects game balance. OOC (Out Of Character): Things pertaining to the real world and/or you as a person, and not to the character that you are playing. Try to keep OOC material to a minimum, but if you need to talk OOC use ((double parenthesis)) to show that you are not communicating IC. IC (In Character): The fictional persona that one takes on when they RP (role-play) within the room. Powers: describe extraordinary abilities which make a character special, such as flight or telepathy Powergaming: This is when a player insists on calling actions for someone else's character. This practice is not conducive to cooperative role-playing. Powergaming is a particular way of playing in which the emphasis lies on developing a player character that is as powerful as possible, usually to the detriment of other aspects of the game, such as character interaction. In text-based online (RP) games that emphasize role-play over acquiring levels or skills, a player can be described as a powergamer if (s)he presumes or declares that his or her own action against another player character is successful without giving the other player character the freedom to act on his own prerogative. They may also be a player who tries to force others to participate in role-playing they don't want to engage in. For instance, a player who unilaterally describes his character as doing something with (or to) another character that would usually require the other to play along — such as having a fight or a sexual encounter — is considered to be powergaming. Powermodding: The act of constant regeneration and/or dodging of attacks and actions. This is commonly found in battle-situation role-plays. Classifications such as these are usually only used by the more experienced role-players, usually to be only used after a certain level of experienced is reach. Acts such as this are not entirely dishonorable, for they are hard to notice, however this classification usually halts the SL ((Storyline)) from advancing any further, making the story both unfair and simply 'not fun.' Example: After being struck by the blade aiming for his jugular 'name of preference' would immediately use his anti-matter shield to regenerate within a matter of seconds. This would repeat throughout the SL ((storyline)) halting it completely. Race: In role-playing games, "race" typically refers to any species that can be played as a player character. Many fantasy stories and worlds call their main sentient humanoid species "races" rather than species. In most such worlds, these races are related, typically having evolved from one root species (most often either elves or humans) by magical or divine influence. A race can be Human, Dwarf, elven, vampire, etc. Setting: The world in which the game takes place. Skills: describe learned capabilities, such as animalism, strength, obfuscate...etc. SL (Storyline): Usually, the tale of a character's life. SLs can intertwine between characters, and the term can also refer to just a portion of a story, either written and/or role-played.

Role Play: Now there will be three different types of roleplaying that will cover during your training. Etiquette, Vampire Disciplines (after your siring), and Feeding (after your siring and first initial feeding with your sire). Please read through the different RP types that we will cover with you and this will be done on a private one on one basis so that we can give you the full attention that you deserve. This training will be required for all members that are coming into the family. Those that are already in the family and well established aren't required to take these lessons but can volunteer for them should they want to take part in them. Etiquette will not be in lessons for established members as we feel that you should already know and practice the respect that the leaders of the Coven deserve. Please read through each lesson listed below and if you have questions then we can discuss them when we meet up. Hierarchy - Teach the hierarchy of the family and the importance of showing them respect as well as the chain of command. Etiquette Roleplay- You will approach a high ranking officer King/Queen or above. You will roleplay your movements in local; bow (Both in RP and via the button) you will use formal titles and attempt to create at least 2 sentences of formal roleplay. Then in public you will ask them a question, it can be about their personal history, the origin of their clan, what it was like to be a vampire etc. You will rp out listening and being polite. When they have provided this information, you will thank them and return to us. Try to keep it in local if you can, if you cannot c/p it so the KotB may read it and give tips. Discipline Roleplay- Taking the group to a private or secluded forest area we will have them rp using animalism our first discipline, they will do a full paragraph of summoning an animal and then speaking or commanding it, obviously this will all be done in writing as they cant actually summon an animal so this will be very good story style rping. They will do this all in local. They may summon whatever animals they like. A KotB will do this first as an example c/p from the members will not be allowed they must write up their own. Feeding Roleplay- We will go out as a group and find someone to feed on, they will rp as a vampire, and try and bring them under your command, this of course will have to mostly be done in private so it will all be screen shots or C/P which they will then send us over skype or paste in private chat if they dont have skype. Sometimes they may fail in getting a victim that is OK so long as they tried and kept to their rp. Also if they rp their hunger afterward, it would be to the KotB benefit to find them a blood doll or someone to feed on so they are fed. Which promotes even more roleplay.

Ediquette: There are a few very simple rules of etiquette when it comes to role playing. Many are things players will talk about in private, complaints, what have you. We decided to just go ahead and put this up in hopes of bettering the role-play experience for everyone. Below are the most commonly complained about things concerning role-play. Among the top things players want to remember in role-play is don't power play (control other people's characters), don't god mode (entering role play with invincibility and may make outrageous claims about their characters ability) and don't be rude. Text based role play is basically telling a story therefore chat speak and or chat abbreviations such as u, ur, 2, etc are highly frowned upon. You wouldn't pick a book off a shelf, open it and see such things. Try to be as descriptive as you can, much again as you from a scenario in a book and try and use adjectives to give other role-players a sense of what you are trying to get over. Be patient! Yes, sometimes you might come into a chat and there are several players but no one or only one person is active. There are many reasons behind this. Sometimes a player had to run afk for a short or even a long period of time. The players all have real lives, things to attend to, and can't always log out or even say they have to run afk. They might be spending time with their sweetie, their kids, their pets, on the phone, getting food, whatever, and that is normal. Sometimes emergencies happen. Give others time to react to you. One of the strangest things noticed in online RPG’s is impatience. People will walk up, say something, wait about 0.0001 seconds and run off. The person they talked to would barely have had enough time to read what they said, let alone respond to it. This also happens in conversations. People will say something, wait a very short amount of time, then keep going as if they think the person they were talking to didn’t hear them or isn’t going to respond. In most cases, the other person was going to respond but simply wasn’t as fast as expected, and loses the chance because the conversation has moved on without them. There’s no need to hurry so much, just relax and enjoy the interaction. Just please be patient. If we are at our computers we WILL greet you. Calm down. Real life doesn't move at the speed of light. Now with that said, do your best not to just disappear without warning. It's aggravating for a player to poof on them without warning over and over, and eventually they will just stop playing with the person that does that. Of course real life intervenes and we can't always give a warning but at least say "good night", "brb" or "gtg" or something ooc if you possibly can. If you are feeling burned out and feel the need for a short or even extended break from rp, at the very least communicate this want or need to your partner. Few things are more frustrating to a player than to have their partner just disappear, and have a ton of characters tied up with theirs and it seems like nothing can be done with them. Be open and honest with your rp partners, otherwise when you come back from that long break you may just find they figured you to be gone for good and moved on, pairing their characters up with someone else's. Common courtesy is a beautiful, wonderful thing in role-play. Treat your partner and other players with the same decency and respect as you would want them to treat you. Never use OOC information IC in any way. The best example I can give is...just because you can see someone’s name hanging over their head in the game, your character wouldn’t know that character’s name unless someone had told you in-game. Never assume someone will react in a certain way just because you think they should. Always give others the chance to react in their own way, and don’t get upset if the reaction isn’t what you expected. Any action you perform on someone else’s character, no matter what the action might be, should be phrased as an attempt. By making an attempt instead of just doing it outright, you give the character’s player the chance to consent to the action or avoid it if it’s something they’d rather not have happen to their character. Be considerate of the role-playing mood of others. If you come into a situation where other characters are already engaged in some RP, don’t just leap in with a radically different mood unless you get permission (Either IC or OOC, depending on the situation and whether you have any way to contact them OOC). As an example...say there is a couple sitting at a table discussing a recently deceased character and you jump in acting like a court jester and spill their drinks in their laps while telling bad jokes. You aren’t going to make friends like this if your actions offend the players behind the characters. Don’t try to be the center of attention all the time. Be polite and share attention with other characters. You aren’t the only one there to have fun, give everyone their turn in the spotlight. Avoid god-like abilities for your characters. RPing isn’t about who can make up the best super powers for their characters, it’s about the personalities of the characters. Any character that is ridiculously powerful or has a perfect personality is going to be fairly boring to RP with and will end up being mostly ignored by others. Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. If players can't read what you are trying to convey to them chances are their character can't or won't respond. Sure we all typo, and none of us are perfect, but we are writing a story. If you have to write it all down in notepad first and then copy paste after spell check, do so. You can do this with some scenarios which you commonly encounter. Don't harass people OOC or in PM because no one responded to your character the way you think they should have. Let everyone play their own characters the way they see fit, and they will allow you that same privilege. Harassment to get players to role-play with you, to do certain things, sexual or not, in anyway shape or form can get you kicked from the room. If a player sees your character and wants theirs to react to yours they will. You don't have to coerce them to. role-play is just like real life and one character will respond in a different way to another. Do not Godmod. There are different types of godmodding but I will use the most general of terms for this bit. You will find all of the definitions in my RP glossary. In this case, it is where a player definitively describes the outcome of their own actions against another character or interactive object. For example, if player A states, "A strikes B and B takes damage", they could be considered to be godmoding. Another example of this might be where a character is facing multiple enemies, and they redirect one foe's attack onto another. For example, Player A states, "B misses A completely, and strikes C instead." Remember to have fun. We are all here for a reason and all enjoy rping in one form or another; the more we enjoy it, the better it is for eveybody. The main thing is to have fun and if in doubt then ask a question by pm or skype rather than assume the answer and not ask it.
