I am a courteous and friendly person. I enjoy being with those I consider part of my family and close friends. My loyalty to them is one of my strongest assets, so I will not knowingly betray their trust in me. While I can be opinionated in my views, I am willing to listen to other opinions and decide for myself their merits.
I value honesty, loyalty, and caring from those that want to be my friend. A quick way to raise my suspicions about someone, is to feel they aren't being honest about their true motives are about wanting to be my friend.
Who I'd like to meet:
There are many great people through the past centuries that would have liked to have met. Some were authors, political figures, men and women of science, military leaders, and many of history's great leaders.
Those I would include in this list are Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, General Patton, Field Marshal Albert Kesselring, John Paul Jones, Elizabeth I of England, Catherine the Great of Russia.

My musical tastes are mostly centered on the classic rock era between the middle of the 1960's to the early 1980's.
I also country, and a smattering of groups of the 21st century. Some of my favorite country bands include: Blackhawk, George Jones, and Sawyer Brown.
My favorite classic rock bands include: Boston, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chicago, Fleetwood Mac, and Electric Light Orchestra.
Recently I have been introduced to my new musical love, Jazz.
Movies:
I have found through the years that the comedians of the modern era lack the genius of the greatest comedians of the past, such as, George Burns, Jackie Gleason, Bud Abbot and Lou Costello.
The classic horror films of the past have given way to films that are nothing more than a hack and slash blood fest.
Books:
I am an avid reader of Science-Fiction, History, Mythology, and Suspense novels.
