About me:
Hi, I'm Joey V. I play a couple of instruments and I can sing my ass off. I sing for a 50s rockabilly/Psychobilly band called Joey V and the T-Birds. Im looking for a talented guitarist and drummer for that band. Im also saving money because im determined to buy a stand up bass and learn to play the fucker! I also play guitar and sing lead for a 2 piece grindcore band called Hitler Jr and the Gas Chambers, a.k.a. Hitler Jr. and the Nerve Agents. we are an Anti Nazi band, our first ep will be called Aushwitz Was A Gas, and we are amazing. I also have a record label of sorts, but its not profitable since all the bands i sign are those of my friends (the primary intention of mine when i started Undead Records) and my friends bands usually break up before they do anything. Im also in the process of starting Senseless Violence Promotion. Im promoting/booking/organzing my first show right now, a 3 day festival in november called Zero Evidence Fest, where all profits go to benefit the West Memphis Three. (www.wm3.org and groups.myspace.com/ZeroEvidenceFest for info) if anyone runs a venue and sees this, Im still looking for one for the show,for november 10th 11th and 12th.
Im in the army, i leave for basic training in november, on the 15th. I love old classic muscle cars, hot rods and just good old cars from the 50s. My dream car is a heavily modified 57 chevy BelAir custom low rider (i designed it myself, i have the details in my brain all set to go) I have 5 piercings in my face, 7 tattoos including one in my mouth (no it didnt hurt) I have a bad habit of falling in love with single moms and any readhead within a hundred miles, purely because A) redheads are hotter than anyone. ever. i dont care who you are. yeah, im looking at you winona ryder. and because B) i love kids, i love girls who have kids, i want a family so bad i can taste it (bar be que sauce. if u know me well, u know what that means=)) and i tend to get attached to women with kids, because i want to be there and be the dad and do all the dad stuff, even the crappy stuff. the difference is, im the guy who would gladly do it for the rest of his life and never complain and always be happy. i dont want just the fun part of baby-hood. i want the whole shebang of being a husband and a father. someday i hope to find it, for now im still searching.
im a huge fan of old school cheesy b grade horror films, anything made by troma especially, and if its got zombies in it, i dont care what it is, its cool by me. 3rd lord of the rings movie was sick purely because it had things that vaguely resembled zombies. Jesus? a bad ass for being a zombie. The new xbox 360 game Dead Rising i played at the mall? god of all that is good, video game-ish and zombies. its grand theft auto meets zombies meets state of emergency. now subtract all the fucking stupid parts in state of emergency, and the cars from grand theft auto (as far as i know, it was only a demo after all) and thats the game. FUCKIN ZOMBIES BABY!
i love music, its my life, as is pop culture. currently im obsessed with placebo. last week it was osaka popstar and the american legends of punk. im diverse. i love life. i love coffee. i love guiness. i drink every now and then but im cool about it. i dont do drugs, but i used to. i smoke cigarettes, and i dont ever want to quit. i write, i draw, i paint, i make clothes. im a humanitarian, i love animals, im anti hunting and fishing, anti-littering to some extent but im not psychotic about it, im against animal cruelty. im joining PETA soon (for those fucktards who say "im for animal rights, fuck peta, your jagoffs. peta is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. THAT MEANS THEYRE HELPING SAVE ANIMALS ASSHOLES!) i'm anti fasict, anti communist, and i was a member of the united front, and intend to be again. im a skinhead who has hung up the boots and braces for my m16 and dogtags. once i get back from basic, im sure theyll come back but i miss having hair so thatll come back too.
