I'd rather read or listen to music but; To Kill a Mockingbird, On the Waterfornt, The Manchurian Candidate (not that pointless remake !), All Quiet on the Western Front, The French Connection, A Streetcar Named Desire, Hud, Platoon, The Big Country, Rebecca, Lawrence of Arabia, Das Boot, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Mississipi Burning, A Beautiful Mind, The Remains of the Day, ...... i suppose i do get to watch a few !

Love books, especially the great 19th century classics ,,,, Dickens, Trollope, Eliot, Hardy, Poe, Gaskell.

Also Solzhenitsyn, Ishiguro and Lee, Pearl.
Getting my head around McEwan, warming to Faulks, just discovered Nemirovsky (like everyone else : Sad) and can't wait for Kostova's second novel.
Devour historical works, especially anything about Ireland, plus Overy, Beevor and Tuchman and yes Taylor !
