I honestly love music of just about any type. Rock, rap, pop, jazz, some country even ( although VERY little of that ) and just about anything else. I typically stick with rock bands of different types, industrial, alternative, metal. gothic, pop-punk ( yes, it is a genre! ), anything. If it sounds good to me, I'll probably consider it a favorite song. I like new and old music. Its too hard to chose just one specific type.
Some bands I listen to on a regular basis are: Queen, Angelpit, Beatles, Monkees, The Beach Boys, Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers, Schoolyard Heroes, Blind Melon, 16 Volt, Greeley Estates, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery, Mindless Self Indulgence, ACDC.
Some other music I listen to on a regular basis is: Armand Van Helden, Sarah Hudson, Amy Studt, Groove Coverage, Aretha Franklin.
