About me:
What to say? I was born In San Francisco, CA (3rd generations on my father's side). My paternal grandfather survived the 1906 SF Earthquake. On my mother's side, she was born in Glasgow, Scotland, then lived in Winnipeg, Canada and finally moved to Oakland in here teen.
So I am a Scotch/German mix (w/bits of English, Irish and French) So I used Celtic Bear as a symbol of my heritage. I even try to learn the bagpipes in high school (LOL).
I grew up on the California Coast, and yes under the notorious fog belt in the summer months (fog rolls in for three weeks+, then we get sun for 3 days, and back to fog). People always wonder how I got so tall (compared to my folks ... mom is 5'5" and dad is 5'8') and I am 6'3" ... I just tell them I am fog grown lol.
As an adult I moved to Santa Clara (near San Jose, CA) and started working in High Tech. My first real big break was working at Cisco Systems in the earlier years (1993 - 1998). When I started there was about thousand employees ... when I left it was around 20,000. Huge Growth in five years.
Today I still work in High Tech, but work as a Director of Training Operations and Logistics.
Got really tired of the heat and crowds of the Bay Area, and decided to move to Washington State (up near Seattle) ... the best decision we ever made. Both my partner and I are at total peace here rural neck of the woods ... surrounded by trees, water, wildlife ... just so peaceful.
