Originally a country boy, now working in journalism.
Grew up on a cattle ranch, then did a variety of jobs before a friend and classmate of mine - the managing editor at the time - hired me as a reporter in 2000.
I have done some online gaming, and thought this might be interesting to check out.

I like a wide variety, but heavy on the rock and roll - AC/DC,Kiss, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Cinderella, Rhino Bucket, Accept, et cetera. Also more light and pop stuff, older because I don't listen to much except my albums. I also love good jazz and blues, swing music and classical music - most everything, if it is written and performed well, with some exceptions.
Movies:
Again, a wide variety - anything good - but my favorites are comedies, action and science fiction fantasy
Books:
Anything good - heavy on the fantasy and science fiction. I am a fan of most anything by Robert Heinlen or Isaac Asimov, along with others in that genre, and have been a fan of "The Lord of the Rings" and The Chronicles of Narnia since I was about 10 ...
