About me:
I'm single, never married, straight male, age 45-55. I'm caucasian (not that it's really important), like in the US. Politically, and in my general thinking, I'm moderately liberal. I'm more liberal right now compared to the greater political climate in the US. I'm most liberal about social causes. I'm probably middle of the road on fiscal matters.
I can seem contradictory at times. I don't believe that drug use is good for people, but I don't see the point of throwing people in jail for using drugs. I believe in free trade and an international economy but I think the US has given away too many traditional jobs in the name of incredibly escalating profits.
Enough politics. I'm intelligent and well-educated, though I'm very bright and not a genius. I'm generally well-read and very creative, though I'm not an avid reader of books. That might be something I need to work on.
Who I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet straight girls/women who are sincere, friendly, adventurous and creative. I like women who know what they want--in a nice way. While I don't like pushy women, I like women who will stand up for themselves. I like women who aren't afraid to say what they want or don't want, but I don't like bossy women. I like to treat women as equals and like them to treat me as an equal.
Physically: Oh well, this can be touchy. First, I don't like women to feel inadequate because they don't exactly match my ideal. Second, no woman will ever meet that ideal. There's plenty of lattitude from that ideal. And my ideal is not carved in stone. Third, personality can compensate for a lot.
But this would approximate my physical ideal:
Medium height, fit but not obsessed with it, medium small breasts, medium hips, nice legs. Yes, I like legs. Lots of lattitude on hair, though dark brown would probably be my favorite, maybe even black. I could probably sum it up by saying medium in most respects. But again, none of this is carved in stone. Personality can make up for a lot. Better to have a good personality than my vision of the ideal body.
Sexually: I've got to be careful about this. I don't really like to talk about it much or advertise it. But given the site, I'm sure that girls/women are interested in a general idea.
Basically it boils down to this. I like a nice girl. I don't like ones who are vulgar. However, I like girls/women who are imaginative, adventurous, and not afraid to let go. I like girls/women who go for it. Note: I don't like anything which physically hurts anybody--I mean in the sense of doing real physical damage. But it's okay if a woman wants to get frisky and be physical.
But what's most important sexually, is that it is mutually agreed upon. I'm not the coercive type and would never ask a woman to do something she didn't want to do. Her comfort and pleasure is placed on the same level of importance as mine. I want to be pleasing to her, as I hope she likes to be pleasing to me.

Movies, music, current events, sports, exercise, science, PBS, BBC. But I like comedy too. Not a hunter bu do like going out into nature some. Like animals. Cats are my favorites, but I like dogs and just about all animals. I respect animals. I respect wildlife.

Note: I'm a huge fan of classic films and great films of the current era. I can even enjoy a great, and I mean great, comedy or adventure movie. I'm not really into fluff, however.

Music:
I like rock, classical, some jazz, some folk, and bluegrass. I appreciate traditional country music, but I'm not really a country music fan. Like good Broadway music too. Big fan of the Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers movies and the music. Love Gershwin.
But: The Beatles and the jangly guitars of the British Invasion and 60s is what really moves me. When I hear that sound it makes my motor hum.
