I'm a respectful, never-married, 45-year-old tall and slim guy originally from Texas (forever "home"!) but a resident of Tennessee for many years (ok, so it's really eons now!). I'm not one who necessarily "follows the herd" for I enjoy thinking for myself and love encountering others that are similar. Music:
I was employed in radio (on the air and in management) for many years and also grew up with an incredibly wide variety of music... Why limit one's self to only one type of music? I primarily listen to classic rock with an occasional dose of country (play it backwards and you get the girlfriend/wife/house/dog/house back! LOL), but I also listen to a lot of other formats... Pop, modern rock, metal, r&b/urban, dance, alternative... Sheesh, the list goes on! Love Evanescence and Amy's incredible voice... I might be listening to the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughan one minute and Kesha the next! ;-)
Movies:
FAR too many to list! I love Clint Eastwood's works, be it his old Westerns, his Dirty Harry movies or those he only directed. "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" is excellent as is "The Bridges of Madison County"... Sean Connery is another favorite in so many of the movies I've enjoyed. While I don't enjoy "drama" in real-life, I frequently find myself watching movie drama, in addition to romances and suspense flicks. Again, this is a hard topic for me to nail down but I shall add more as I consider it further...
Books:
I've always been an avid reader of everything from technical books to action/suspense novels to the occasional "romantic drama" (ie. Nicholas Evans writings)... I have read a number of classics but also have Larry McMurtry, James Patterson, James Clavell, Tom Clancy, Martin Cruz Smith, Robert Ludlum, John Grisham, Stephen King (love his incredible Dark Tower series!), Charles Frazier, amongst many others. The late Lewis Grizzard resides on my shelves in the company of John Steinbeck and Mark Twain. To say my interests are rather varied would be an understatement... If only I could actually find the TIME to read...
