About me:
Reluctantly I've been putting myself out there, hoping to make some new friends or find a whole community where I fit in.
So... here's one of my forays into the outside world I've hid from for so long.
Hello, I'm Rebel, let's get to know... well, me!
First of all, I do want to point out, I am non-binary, my pronouns are they/them/their.
Now then, Myers-Briggs calls me a "Mediator" (INFP-T), and I find that fits me well:
They say my "superpower," so-to-speak, is my empathetic nature.
I feel other people emotions aside from my own, but this can be both a blessing and a curse.
The good thing is, I can understand other peoples' situations, and it allows me to be thoughtful and kind...
On the flip side, I tend to, I guess the word could be: "absorb" negative moods too, like anger, and they can be hard to get rid of.
Creativity and imagination have been, like, my whole life, or, at least since I was four.
It's kinda like my little personal getaway, to just get real focused in slicing away at a lineoleum block, or mixing paints, or... most anything really.
My only problem is I'm overly self-critical, definitely a perfectionist.
I will rarely have my art posted up here, I... I dunno, I just see it as nothing special, at best.
And maybe it is, probably, y'know, "jack of all trades, master of none" and all that.
I'm passionate about many things.
Who I am, the things I like, just... The things that make me, me.
Not the outspoken type, though; usually it's just something dumb like working late into the night on my Dungeons & Dragons homebrew.
But I'm easily distracted and move on just as fast as I start projects, constantly bouncing back and forth between all of them.
So I'm idealistic, too.
I feel like, who wouldn't want to lead a meaningful life, with purpose?
Who wouldn't want that for those around them?
Ehhh, I get that the world isn't perfect, but that doesn't mean life should be the absolute worst...
Whatever, I'm going off on a tangent...
