I was lucky to be able to turn 62 years old April 27th 2020. On April 15th, I was diagnosed and hospitalized as being infected with the Covid 19 Corona Virus. April 20th I was placed on a ventilator. I remained on that contraption from hell for 2 weeks. The day I got off the ventilator...my mother passed away at 86 years old in the same hospital where I was staying. She died from supposedly age related natural causes. I never got to see my mom the whole time despite requests to do so. To make matters even worse...my sister had been in the same hospital for 3 months now due to a heart attack she had in March...she then while there contracted Hepatitis and after that....Covid 19 too.
I am out of the hospital for a week now but not at home. I am at a sort of half-way house for recovering Covid 19 patients. I feel like a lab rat...all those around me are dressed in full biological warfare garb. I can't go home yet because...You see....last week I once again tested positive if you can believe that....after 2 negative tests in the weeks prior.I have not personally laid my eyes on anybody of my family...my deceased mother...my wife and 3 grown kids and 2 grandkids since mid April. Right now I'm just happy to have my laptop so that I can begin to communicate with folks again.
Love your family...when heading out for the day...kiss and hug them like its the last opportunity you'll ever have. Trust me...
The island of Eleuthera Bahama's is my most favorite place on earth. The beaches are pristine and the fishing/diving and spearing are second to none. My heart goes out to all my dear friends on the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco's. I will visit soon and help where I can.
Decorating layouts in RLC used to be my passion...not any more.
